This is the second instalment to the Saturn series of playing cards in a new colorway.
"As a Cardist, the way playing cards feel after being handled for long periods of time matters a lot to me. I want a deck of cards to be able to fan evenly, spring without too much tension, and break off nicely for packet cuts. That is why I have to decided to print on Crushed Bicycle Stock with Embossed Finish, perfect for long use and resiliency. Some of my favorite decks from the US Playing Card Factory, Keepers and Tally-Ho's, are printed in a similar way."
- Franky Morales
People interpret colors in many different ways and in the card community, this can make or break a project.
With this Fall season ending, he got to experience many different colors as the leaves changed. Taking inspiration from the different reds and yellows, he gave his Instagram followers the choice to pick the next color.
In two days, 450 unique comments expressed what they wanted, and in the end, Red came out victorious.
The Red Saturns have a brand new Ace and Joker. Inspired by Futurism design, lines interact with bold geometric shapes in a simplistic and contemporary style.
To ensure that the Red Saturns are to everyones liking, Franky contacted the USPCC and was granted special permission to oversee the production process.
As a callback to the quality of the previous Saturns, Franky decided to keep a similar aesthetic for the box. The grey Saturn logo and signature will be silver foil, a quality that made the previous tuck look amazing.
Chris Severson: "You can expect the same quality and attention to detail from the Red Octobers. I would be happy only using saturn's for he rest of my life. Period."
Shim Lim "Mi favorite deck of cards"
Baraja bastante bonita con ese color rojo caramelo que enamora, las cartas son un tanto duras casi o igual que las tally ho, la unica contra o ventaja para algunos es que desliza mucho y para cardistry creo que eso no viene bien del todo.
