Magic, an ancient art, spans from close-up tricks to grand stage performances, each with its own allure. Coin magic, known for its visual appeal, often seems daunting due to perceived limitations and complexity. However, innovative coin props have simplified this art. Tools like the Coin Shell and Flipper Coin have become essential for magicians, enabling them to create stunning effects like coins transforming into rings or penetrating objects, challenging the audience's perception of reality.
Luciano Chun's Kongfu Coin, inspired by Joel Givens, revolutionizes coin magic with its unique design. After five years of refinement, it allows impromptu performances without external objects, showcasing both sides of the coin.

Kungfu Coin - Bluether Magic y Raphael
Magic, this ancient and profound art, has a wide variety of forms of expression. From the delicate close-up magic to the spectacular stage performances, each one emits a unique charm. In close-up magic, magicians are good at using daily items like playing cards, coins, and Rubik's Cubes to create magical miracles that amaze the audience.
Among these, coin magic has always been famous for its strong visual manipulation sense, but it often feels difficult to master and out of reach. Many practitioners think that coin magic is too limited and hard, with relatively few practical performance routines. Precisely because of this, the emergence of various coin magic props has greatly reduced the difficulty for magicians.
As the saying goes, “Sharp tools make good work.” In the world of coin magic, these props are exactly the “tools” magicians need. From the Coin Shell invented by J.N. Hofzinser in 1847 to the Flipper Coin created by Eddy Taytelbaum and Flip Postma 70 years ago, they have become indispensable for coin magicians.
With more “tools” appearing, magicians began to pursue highly visual coin effects, such as coins instantly turning into rings. Among these, the slow penetration effect is perhaps the most baffling: when an object gradually merges into and penetrates another, it subverts any audience’s sense of physics and remains unforgettable. Luciano Chun, craftsman of Raphael Gaffs, created such a visual coin effect that even Tobias Dostal (the “god of creative magic”) and Rubi (the talented Spanish coin magician) said, “This is the f***ing coolest coin magic we’ve ever seen.”
About five years ago, inspired by Joel Givens’ works, Luciano Chun first posted a performance clip of the Kongfu Coin on Instagram. The post immediately attracted worldwide attention and inquiries. However, Luciano Chun himself felt that version wasn’t perfect and wasn’t ready for sale—it still needed big movements to cover small ones, which weakened the effect.
After five years of refinement, he optimized every aspect of the coin:
