The Influencers - Elías D'Sastre

In this incredible original three-phase routine created by Elías D'Sastre, jokers become the most influential cards in the deck.

Everyone knows that jokers are special cards that can represent any value in the deck. But what if they were capable of physically transforming other cards? With “The Influencers”, that's exactly what they do.

A spectator signs a card, which is then lost in the deck (they can even shuffle the cards). Next, the jokers are removed and the cards are spread face down.

You name a card at random (for example, the Nine of Hearts) and ask the spectator to choose a card face down from the spread. Without looking at its face, they hand it to you and you place it among the jokers. With a simple magic gesture, the card becomes the Nine of Hearts.

But, as they didn't see the card before the transformation, they might think it was pure coincidence. Maybe they really did select the Nine of Hearts without realizing it.

To clear up any doubts, you repeat the effect with a new card (say, the Ace of Clubs). This time, you clearly show the face of the incorrect card before placing it among the jokers. Once again, the magic happens and the card changes to the correct one.

In the final phase, you introduce another card among the jokers, but this time you forget to mention its value and suit. As a result, the card becomes completely blank. Then, you place this blank card back among the jokers and the spectator says out loud the card he previously chose. With one last magical twist, the blank card is revealed as the signed card.

“The Influencers” is a direct, powerful and extremely easy to perform effect that ends with an unforgettable memory for the spectator. It includes a special Bicycle red or blue gimmick that does most of the work for you and allows you to handle the cards in a fair and natural way throughout the routine.
