In effect, the magician displays two large sticks. Each stick has a through hole at one end; through this hole runs a string. One end of each string ends in a plastic bead, while a tassel is attached to the other end. Both sticks are also hollow. At the beginning, one of the strings is inside the stick and the tassel appears near the hole. The other string with the tassel is outside the stick. Holding two V-shaped sticks in the hand, the magician pulls the tassel appearing near the hole of one stick outward, the tassel attached to the other string is pulled backward toward the hole inside the second stick, and this operation is repeated alternately, causing the audience to be entertained. Finally, holding the two sticks separately, the magician repeats this operation several times, demonstrating that there is no connection between the two ropes, causing great surprise to the audience.
