This is without a doubt the cleanest “Water and Oil” trick you've ever seen, featuring three phases that build in intensity—all without you having to touch a thing. Juan Colás impressively reinvents this magic classic. It includes a gimmick, but there's no need to worry that the spectator will see anything they shouldn't.
The magic happens right under their noses, with cards they’ve handled themselves. The phases grow increasingly impossible; the cards mix and separate without you doing a thing. It includes a tutorial, and you’ll learn how to make your own gimmicks. “Water and Oil” transforms a familiar plot into a routine that feels fresh, clean, and impossible. If you see it, you’ll undoubtedly say, “That looks like real magic.”

The cleanest “Water and Oil” trick ever.
Unlike most tricks that use gimmicks, with Water and Oil you don't have to rush.
With other tricks, when you're holding a gimmick in your hand, you might be afraid the spectator will notice something... So you rush through the performance or grip it tightly to make sure the gimmick isn’t visible.
With Water and Oil, you achieve a light, carefree touch. The magic happens right under their noses, with cards they’ve touched themselves. It’s very easy to perform, and it’s magical to watch.
At the beginning, you hand the cards to the spectator. They inspect everything.
The phases get progressively more impossible.
You start by shuffling them face down, then face up. No matter how you shuffle them, the black cards separate from the red ones.
By the end, you hold the card in your hand and they shuffle (and unshuffle) without you doing anything.
Juan teaches several handling techniques and variations.
